SDG Group, global management consulting organization, today announced the set up of SDG Mediterranean and Emerging Markets (SDG
MEM Ltd.). Based in Nicosia, Cyprus, the new subsidiary will enhance
SDG's mission to support private and government organizations in one of
Europe's most economically dynamic areas.
The new office will leverage Cyprus's high-quality local network to
facilitate SDG's expertise and capabilities in supporting the
Mediterranean area. In addition to the existing offices in Italy,
France, Spain and Portugal, with SDG MEM, the Group achieves the
largest presence that offers its management consulting and performance
management expertise to clients in the Mediterranean area.
"The Cyprus office reflects our deep commitment in growing and
expanding in the global market" said Luca Quagini, President and CEO of
SDG Group. "The business opportunities in the Mediterranean region have
been growing tremendously and we want to seize the moment to play as a
strategic partner for the organizations in this market. Cyprus’s
geographical position offers the ideal hub for our expansion, providing
a privileged way toward the Mediterranean, the Gulf area and Africa.”
“The opening of the Cypriot company is a great and exciting challenge”
said Nicos Pissarides, SDG MEM Country Manager. “This operation will
help us to introduce innovative Performance Management practices and
cutting edge Business Intelligence solutions for our existing and
potential clients”.
After the recent acquisition of Primal Management Solutions and the
expansion in the Iberian market, the opening of the Nicosia office
marks another milestone in SDG's history. The SDG Group foundation
dates back to 1994 in Milan, Italy. Since the beginning, the business
community identified SDG as a growing leader in providing Business
Intelligence expertise through a combination of management consulting
capabilities focused on the design and implementation of decision
support systems and IT skills. The Group strategy proved to be
successful and led to the opening of new business locations in Europe
(Rome, Verona, London, Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Lisbon) and in the USA
(Boston).
