The SDG Group foundation dates back to 1991 in Milan, Italy, under the name of Studio della Grisa. Since the first day, the business community has identified SDG as a fervent laboratory for Innovation and Development for planning and controlling methodologies and practices, as well as an emerging consulting firm focused on the design and implementation of Decision Support Systems. Founder Luca Quagini recognized that as DSS technology was reaching maturity, new opportunities for Business Process Reengineering, i.e. the Management Intelligence approach, was emerging. In 1997 a new growth strategy was outlined with a clear and sharp focus on consulting services and solutions. At this point Studio Della Grisa changed its name to SDG consulting, the R&D department was sold and SDG decided to focus on Management Intelligence and Knowledge Management consultancy services. SDG Group committed to becoming the leader in providing BI expertise through a combination of management consulting capabilities and IT skills. This strategy was successfully executed and new business locations were opened in Italy - Rome and Verona - in 1997, London (1998), Barcelona and Madrid (1999), Paris (2000), The SDG consulting services and solutions have been progressively enriched with Knowledge Management, CRM and Web Intelligence solutions. Along this success path, SDG Group never lost its focus on attracting and retaining talented consultants; more than 200 professionals are currently employed at our business locations and are providing Management Intelligence services to more than 300 worldwide customers in multiple industries. |
